Kleppe Slowflyer Airport, September 19th 2001.
The Stick is now back in the air after lending it's control system to the Tiger Moth. This gave us a real opportunity to compare the two slowflyers. A total rewrite of history is needed. The first flight report turned out to be completely wrong.
The flight time is less than the Tiger. The airspeed is grater. The maneuverability is somwhat slower, especially when turning the opposite way mid corner. The visual impression is only about half as cool as the Moth, looking like something coming out of a packet of corn flakes. Landing gear is better. Its a bit harder to fly than the Moth, opposite of our impression when starting to fly the Moth. All in all less fun than the Tiger.
